GUIDE TO SEWER CONNECTIONS

SEWER CONNECTION GUIDE

Connecting water pipes to the main sewer system during a building project will require you to submit applications and reports to your local council and wait for their approval. This might take around six weeks. If you do not want to wait this long, contact Sewers & Highways Ltd in Birmingham. We specialise in streamlining the entire process from start to finish. Our drain layers will help you with all the paperwork and complete the sewer work to the highest standards on time. Here's a step-by-step guide to our sewer services. We serve clients across the West Midlands.

Step one: paperwork

Our experienced drainage contractors will fill out all the applications and forms on your behalf and submit them for approval to your local water authority.

Step two: approval

To obtain an approval for your new sewer connection can take up to six weeks. However, Sewers & Highways Ltd can fast track this process and obtain the approval as soon as possible.

Step three: connection

Once the approval is obtained, our contractors will carry out all the ductwork and pipework and connect your new drainage system to the main sewage line. We will work to your schedule to minimise any disruption to your daily routines.

Step four: inspection

When the pipes are laid and the ductwork is over, we will invite the water authority of your area to come, inspect and connect the connection.

Step five: final approval

After a thorough inspection, the water authority will either adopt the sewer or sign off on the completed work, and we will backfill the excavated land before leaving.
